Program Overview
The Medication Technician Program at Angel Hands Nursing Academy is a hybrid program combining online instruction with in-person skills training to prepare students to safely administer medications under the supervision of a licensed nurse in nursing homes, assisted living communities, group homes, and other long-term care settings.
Instruction covers medication administration routes and techniques, the six rights of medication administration, dosage measurement, basic pharmacology, side effects and adverse reactions, medication storage and security, infection control, resident rights, and MAR documentation.
Admissions Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements to enroll:

- Social Security Card/ ITIN

Pass a physical health clearance exam and TB (Tuberculosis) test
- Complete Live Scan fingerprinting

Have access to a laptop, tablet, or desktop computer

Students must remain current on all tuition payments to continue participation in the program.
Certification Eligibility
Our CNA program prepares eligible students for the California CNA certification examination. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are eligible to sit for the state exam.
